Edna’s Kitchen
(Madonna & Child)
Acrylic On Canvas
31.25” x 43.25”

A more appropriate name for this painting would be ‘Edna’s Bathroom’ since the interlocking bird design came from her bathroom. She had a marbled pattern masonite shower surround in which, with some twisted imagination, one could see the bird design in the marble swirls. The title was originally ‘Madonna & Child’. It became ‘Edna’s Kitchen’ thanks to the St.Louis Artists’ Guild. Somehow the titles got switched ( the original ‘Edna’s Kitchen’, now titled ‘Planets’, was painted on the back of a 4’ x 4’ piece of masonite paneling that was actually from Edna’s kitchen).
